As a notary, we authenticate a person based upon that person's documentation of their identity, such as a driver's license or state identification card, or by our own personal knowledge of the person appearing before us or through credible independent witnesses. 

As a Virginia Notary Public, we acknowledge signatures, administer oaths, and certify copies (excluding documents in governmental custody, e.g., birth certificates, death certificates, etc.). 

As a Notary Signing Agent, which is a type of Notary Public, specially trained to work with mortgage loan documents, we walk signers through the final steps of a loan closing and ensure that all real estate loan documents are executed by the borrower, notarized and promptly returned for processing to lenders and title companies. 

The owner and CEO of Prestige Notary Services, Patricia Burchett, has worked in various administrative roles for more than 25 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master's degree from the College of William and Mary.

Patricia is trained as a certified Notary Signing Agent and holds certifications through Virginia Notary Public classes in Notary Law & Procedures, Notary Signing Agent (NSA) and Mobile Notary, as well as Understanding the Mortgage Loan Signing (Loan Documents). She has also completed the Notary Signing Agent exam with the National Notary Association. Patricia is background screened through the National Notary Association and has a professional Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance policy. She is a pet-friendly mobile notary.
